would you move to another country?
« on: March 13, 2013, 04:43:19 pm »
I know a lot of friends, neighbors, classmates, teachers that grew up in different countries and moved here later and I think lately I have realized how big that actually is!!! I think its just normal because I know so many immigrants but I think about moving to another country and how BIG that would be leaving everyone behind friends, family and traditions, culture and everything I dont know if I could do it unless the situation was perfect what do you think ?

You ask the best questions! Yes I would move to another country but I will always love America. I feel a person should be expansive and open to any culture. I feel if you learn how people of a culture interact with each other and you respect their customs you can live anywhere and be happy. I feel there is a limit to this however, I would only move to a country that has an alliance with the United States otherwise it would be too dangerous and foolish. :)

I can't imagine moving to another country.  My mom liked to travel and she went to Europe a couple of times and wanted to go to some other countries but she passed away before she was able to do so.  I'm not sure personally that I would even want to travel to other countries, wouldn't feel safe.

I lived in a foreign country for 2.5 years.  Had the time of my life there and loved every minute of it.  I'd do it again.

I would move to Canada if I had to choose, or maybe someplace a little warmer since where I live is always cold as well

The thought has crossed my mind. Like I was thinking of moving to Canada. But I am no fan of the cold weather. I guess I will stay here. Maybe one day move to the west coast.

If I was extremely rich I would. Then I could come back and visit as often as I wanted.

I'd move to Norway.  Such a diverse and beautiful country.

I think I  would move to another country if the state of our economy became so bad that there was no chance of recovery. Lately I am starting things with budget cuts in order for the government to save money. My husband and every other civil service employee is going on furlow as of April 26th for 22 weeks. Also I just saw an article on yahoo that says the US military is going to stop paying college tuition for active duty service members. I try to stay positive and think things will get better. But if it doesn't, I would just like to move to another countyry and leave it all behind.

I would visit another country, but there is NO WAY I would move away from right where I live now. I am perfectly happy right here, so why take a chance.

Yes, I  moved here in the USA to be with my husband and I didn't regret of making that big decision in my life because am so happy and contented with my life here. I came from an Asian country and life here is really different but I have a husband beside me all the time supporting me emotionally and now I'm feel better and adjusted with the people and climate here.

I could easily see myself in Canada or England. It would probably be challenging to adapt to a country that was vastly different than America though.

I would like to visit Europe, and tour some of the old castles and things like that. But I would not want to actually move to any other country. If I ever did move to another country, it would probably be Canada. (although I don't like the cold.) I would not want to live in a country where the culture was completely different.

I would move to another country only as a temporary move to travel and experience the country.  I love the USA and would always come back.  I also have most of my immediately family here.  I have distant family in other countries.
