I don't go very often and sometimes will find something i want. Also enjoy yard sales. I always have certain things that i am looking for. All has to do with my craft work.

I like going to thrift stores and yard sales. I always can find something that I'll end up buying.

I found a nice sauce pan and a non stick fry pan in awesome condition. And I was glad because I needed new cookware.

We've got a couple of consignment stores in town but nothing to get excited about.  Stopped and went in one in Arkansas when we went up that way on a short little vacation and it was anything but a thrift store!  Prices were way too high!

Shop at them at the time.  The only thing that are bought new in my house are under garments, shoes and food and mattress.

My success comes in spurts.  Unfortunately, right now I am in a dry spell.

I love thrift stores. I go as often as I can. I often find things I can resell to make a few bucks.

Goodwill has been great. Some or more pricey than others but if you really look sometimes you can find some great bargains. And yes sell on ebay or have a great garage sell later.

I volunteer at our local thrift shop. It is a lot of fun and you can find some great deals. You also can consign your tresures with us. Great way to recycle your items and make some extra cash!
If you consign your items make sure you understand their policies for instance, do they set the price or do you? How much to you make per item?  At our shop the consignor get 60% most shops are 50/50. Also we have you set your own prices. Some like that and some don't.

My rule osf thumb is if you really like or need it buy it otherwise it maynot be there later. Also for everything you buy you must consign 2 items. Most of the things I find are new with the tags still on  for instance, northface jacket 35.- new shirt 7 6 drinking glasses 2- just to name a few,
There are plenty of bargains but you most of the time you do have to hunt and be consistent
Thrift shops are great for kids. The usually out grow the items before they wear themout! :peace:
Be grateful for what you have and you will receive more than you ever expected

If you believe it you can achieve it.

Small Consistent Steps Lead to Great Rewards

I love Goodwills  and thrift shopping.  I think the best deal I ever found was a 52" television at the Goodwill for thirty bucks.  It was not a flat screen, a regular tv and this thing was like 200 pounds and has a 2nd floor apartment at the time.

But it was actually a better deal than that, because my boyfriend had a half-off discount, which got me the tv for FIFTEEN BUCKS!  And I loved that screen, too, especially for video games.
