STRESS MANAGEMENT
« on: May 08, 2013, 02:13:44 pm »
Finding new ways to control stress can be helpful, for me just finding the time to relax can be hard when you know you have a lot on your mind  :BangHead: but don't let keep banging your head on your problems. What works for me is finding a quiet place ware I can clear my mind  that way I can come up with suggestions that are helpful  :). Just setting aside the time to think can reduse just how much stress you have on any given day.

Taking a bath usually helps me to relax, and ease my mind. Other things you could try are writing in a journal/diary, napping, taking 5 minutes to breath and think, counting down from 10, and just take some time to yourself to be alone.

That is very good advice. I really need that lately- the past 6 months have been really tough and the next 6 are going to be equally as tough to deal with everything going on..I need to set aside time for myself, alone and quiet

I get stressed, but soaking in a bath for an hour puts me in dreamland.  There are some stressful people, but find somewhere else to channel those pent-up feelings. There are times when my husband irritates the life out of me, I don't know why, but I calm down while taking a bath and soaking for a few hours. :angry7: :angel11:

If I'm at home and have the time, I'll go take a nap.  I may be in a bad/stressed/anxious place before my nap, but I'm certainly better after I wake up.  If I'm at work, then I get out of the office and go find a quiet place to sit by myself.
