What is your "day job"?
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:11:07 pm »
So, I was just curious. I know this site isnt really going to make anyone rich. I'm just doing it because I'm an insomniac and I get bored at night so I figured I might as well make some extra cash while I'm surfing the web anyway.

So what is your day job?

I am a full time medical transcriptionist for a hospital. I work from home on my laptop. I also am a single mother of four ages 14,11,10, and 6 (which is actually my #1 job!!)

Looking forward to meeting new people!

Right now I'm just an Architecture student. Sometimes I barely have time to sleep.  :-

I'm an exhibits coordinator for a publishing company. Basically I make all the arrangements for our presence at conferences and trade shows.

Hang in there! I've been there and done that. I went to school and worked a full time job, then when I graduated, I kept that full time job and took two part time jobs literally working from 7 am until 9 or 10 most nights 5 or 6 days a week just to get by. I finally got a good break after 2 years when i was offered a job typing x-ray reports from home and I LOVE it!! I work in my PJ's in my recliner and I get to be with the kids when they are not in school with no babysitter. Just keep your eyes and ears open and maybe something better will open up one day for you. I still dont have anything left over after bills. We eat a lot of sandwiches and frozen meals, but it's worth it!
