My dad was sick for a while, he got better then he had a bad heart attack...he was in ICU for 5 days....it was hard seeing him go.....but I was there and it gave me peace......I know I will miss him a lot....I was his baby girl and spoiled by him....my dad was very good to me.....he never hit me, nor did he yell at me...when I would see his car turning in the yard I would take off running, daddy coming...he would sit me on his knee and ask my how was your day baby girl, he never rubbed me the wrong way....why do people have to die.........

Hello there Sorry to hear the bad news about your father. But keep your head up he is in a better place and no longer in pain.I willnot lie and say i know what your going through. Nobody ever does because its diffrent for everyone but keep the good memories close to your heart and you will forever keep your father alive. Also to answer your question on why do people have to die.. as a quote from lion king it is all the part of the circle of life... I LOVE THAT MOVIE FYI.... sorry it probably didnt make you feel any better keep your head up and keep moving forward. He is looking down on you with everything you accomplish saying that's my girl!

I am sorry about your dad. Just keep moving forward because this is what he would want. He will always be in your heart and all the memories of him. Yes.. He is in a better place with no pain and he will always be smiling at you. It is very hard losing someone you love so much be either family or friends. My step daughter passed away in April and we are still waiting for closure. The mother wont give up the ashes yet so we are looking at an empty lot with a stone but noone there yet... :( We are trying to convince her to put a closure on this so we can all move forward but as of today, she still refuses. It is driving a lot of family memebers crazy. We cant do anything but wait... that is so hard for us and her dad. Hope she will give in soon. :dontknow: :confused1:

sorry to hear bout your father just think he's no longer suffering and he is in a better place HEAVEN above you,so when it rains he wants you to stay in,when the sun is shining he wants you to go outside and get things done, when its snowing he is having a pillow fight and inviting you to join him by going outside, when it is thundering he is bowling strikes when gets a strike everyone up in heaven is taking pictures, that is how look at life after the fact of losing loved ones and go forward with my life..... i have lost my father-in-law,sister-in-law,and mother-in-law all one after another almost back to back, but there all watching over me.i hope this helps you feel better. i lost my dad 28 years ago. :angel12: :angel11:

:sad1: So deeply sorry to hear of your loss.  I certainly understand and believe me I do.  My dad died in his forties when I was barely out of high school.  My mom died two years ago and I lost my 57 year old husband of 34 years January 23, 2013.  I have had a lot of years to get used to my dad being gone but my mom whom I was very close to and now my husband feels like too much. Peace to you.

I am sorry and you have my deepest sympathy on the death of your father.  I know that he is in a better place and no longer has to suffer.  I know you loved him, but God loved him best and chose to end his suffering. :angel11: :angel11:

I am very sorry for your lose ... I lost my dad 12 years ago and still miss him very much but I know he is in a place where he is not sick anymore.

I too was the baby girl and daddy's favorite .. my only regret is that he did not get to meet my hubby ... he would have loved him

I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my dad on Father's Day several years ago, less than one year after losing my mom.  :'(

Lots of crying involved there. It took me about a year or two to start feeling normal again. Part of you goes with them when they die.

My dad and I were never close. I wanted to be, but he was emotionally distant. I think that came from his time during in the war.  :sad1: I still loved him like crazy, though.

It's wonderful that you were so close to your dad. What wonderful memories you must have. Be grateful for those good times.

My condolences to you, mill8277 :(

I don't know why people have to die, that's left to a higher being than me.  I do know it hurts terribly to lose your "Daddy" and no matter how old you get, it will always feel the same.  My Dad's been gone 30 years and I still cry thinking about it.  I guess it hurts so much because we often wonder what life would have been like had our Dads lived into old age.  I know I miss mine all the time and would have loved to have both my parents here with me.  (My Mom is 91 and my Dad would have been, too - they were born a day apart from each other.)   Funny thing is, I knew from an early age that my Dad would never make it to retirement.  Not because he was sick or anything like that.  It was just a gut feeling I had all the time.  Sure enough, my Dad passed away 5 months after I was married and right before he was to retire.  Even though your Dad is gone and you can't physically see him, just know that he's still there and all around you.  We have our memories and the love that we feel for them always in our hearts.
