What do you think of people who talk or text on a phone while driving?

I hate it because stuff like that causes accidents puts everyone in harms way & has been known to destroy lives when someone or some people have been killed by an irresponsible person who does any of that. People who text are not aware of there surroundings no matter what they say. If someone sys upsets someone on a call while there driving that may impair there judgement and put others in harms way.

Talking on the phone while driving should be ilegal and they should pull peoples driver  liscense for that same with texting and driving.Both are very dangerous and a very big leader in accidents. They are just as dangerous as Drinking and Driving.I dont see why anyone need to talk on the phone while driving unless you are a truck driver and are required by your job to have it on at all times. Even then it is still dangerous..I have seen people on phones swerve the road and even stop at green lights. I like to get behind them and take their liscense plate and call em in..LOL cruel i know but what if they kill someone? I think the law needs to change and have texting or talking on the phone while driving jail time. I do belive they say your not suppost to use your phone while driving but they need to kick it up more where people actually do not do it... or want to do it for that matter. 

personally i think the law just don't care our lives our meaningless in their eyes. Otherwise why don't they DO THEIR JOB AND MAKE THE ROADS SAFER

I remember just barely missing people who was on their phone.  Even witnessed cars driving side-by-side in separate lanes  smacked each others sides of their car but not wrecking from texting.  I guess the rules applies as of horseshoe game.

It is getting closer to being against the law in the whole state here now. You can't do it in the bigger cities now.And i have nothing bad to say about it. there are too many accidents because of the texting and talking while driveing,

  I hate it when people talk and or text while driving - it has been my experience that people have enough trouble being good drivers without the added complication of doing some other activity.

I so agree and I think it is just moronic on the highways.  Nothing is that important.  A text will still be on your phone when you get there and that is also exactly what voicemail is for.  Tell me that my insurance premiums are worth jumping because your 10 am meeting has been jumped to 9:30 and you just found out!  Sheesh, they would have told ya when ya got to the office!

I know rite! I think they thought they were the best but others looked at them and said that those who talking and texting while driving are the dumpmest of all.

I hate this too! I have been in a few very scary accidents so I am already very cautious and nervous when driving. My sister had a friend who was 18 years old and died a few years ago from someone texting and driving. There should definitely be stricter consequinces on this.

I don't think talking and texting on the road while driving is a good idea.  I text, but I am a passenger, since I don't drive.  And while I am responding to this post, if you are going to text while driving, it would be better to stop the car and text.  You will be considerate of other drivers and you will not cause an accident.

I definitely think this is a bad habit as some people cannot drive very good to begin with. People really shouldn't multi task, such as talk (I sometimes think even hands free) or text. Maybe we should push even further the car that drives itself more.

I think people who text while driving are stupid! They are also very annoying, as I watch them weave from side to side, slow down, speed up, and generally drive very erratically. I wish people would realize that they are not only endangering themselves, but others.

   There show be more mandatory laws against distractions while driving. No smoking, eating or drinking, no smoking, no phone calls, no reading maps and no other activities. If you are driving, you are driving! If you need to do any other activity, pull off the road and when you are finished, then go back and continue driving. There would be less serious accidents if drivers follow these rules.

Neither should be done...the brain does not allow anyone to give full attention to both at the same time...I believe there should be hefty fines if caught texting

Talking is not that much of an issue.  Texting is.  You have to be looking at the phone and using your hands to type into the phone.
