Government shutdown
« on: September 30, 2013, 09:27:41 pm »
Well according to what I'm seeing on MSN's website, the government has shut down. I voted for the first time in the last election, and frankly I'm beginning to wonder why the heck I even bothered. I am ALL FOR affordable healthcare. I don't know much about Obamacare, but what I do know seems like something us Americans NEED. It is completely ridiculous that that was the hanging point in the un-reached deal. Are we simple folk that insignificant to congress? I am just so darn frustrated, would be nice to be able to voice my feelings to our government, but apparently it wouldn't matter to them anyway.

I agree with you I think this is absolutely crazy the government has no inkling about the little people all they do is sit there non their butts and draw a [payday and take a vacation whenever they want.

We need to throw them all out of office and start over!  I can proudly say I didn't vote for anyone currently in office.  Seems like I have only voted for the losers for several years now.
Have a wonderful day!

People have a million of questions, that don`t know where to find the answers. I guess I'll just wait and see whats happens next.

The Government shutdown is a bunch of  :bs:  .  They need to stop playing games and get back to serving the people that they were elected in office for.

There is really no reason for the shutdown, but with all of the blame games going on, the finger pointing and other cra@. going on it is enough to make a person puke. and of course our so called president (if you can call him that) is so stuck on himself and what he wants it is no wonder nothing ever gets done. No balanced budget in 5 years and Obama wanting to raise the debt ceiling so he can have his pet project of obamacare.  If the congress had to join in the healthcare plan they would all be voting against it. And then you look at all the special  interest groups that will exempt and of course medicaid that does not leave a lot to pay for it. You noticed i did not include medicare, well that is because we pay for it every month. It comes right out of our social security check.

The problem is the people who are suppose to be running the government, has allowed the idea of power to go to their heads, therefore forgetting the people whom they are suppose to protect.  They don't give  damn about the people.  Everyone wants to blame Obama for all the problems that is happening.  Open your eyes people Obama doesn't make these decisions alone.

What a stupid political stunt the House Republicans are pulling. It's backfiring on them big time.

How exactly do you believe it is backfiring? Not much evidence of that.
