What kind of ornaments do you put on your tree?
« on: December 01, 2013, 12:39:13 pm »
My husband and I every year we buy a new ornament. so we have an different ornament for each year we have had a Christmas together.  This year it really is different because the tree is really going to be filled with all our ornaments. I can't wait until we trim it.

To date I have never had a tree of my own and I am not real sure how I would go about it.  But I really like the tradition you and your husband have going.

the kind that dont break

Well some are breakable and some aren't breakable. The important thing is that we pick it out together. We put the breakables on the top of the tree and the others in the middle and bottom. this way if the ones on the bottom drop they won't be ruined. Even our dog doesn't bother the tree but looks under it to see what he got for Christmas.

We try to get a new ornament every year.  Since we have been married 33 years, we have a lot of ornaments.  Our tree is like a history of our family.

I have a very small tree and I use the same ornaments every year. My home is small so I don't have room for a bigger tree.  :D

What a good idea. I couldn't get my husband to be that interested. He will buy me ornaments and I have a nice collection of horse and dog ornaments that he has bought me but I'd never be able to get him to go out and pick out an ornament with me. Great tradition!!

We use what he have. We don't always use the same ones though. I know we used to have a whole bunch but I don't think we have that many anymore. We didn't use ornaments this year because our tree was a fibre optic so we just left it the way it was which was fine because it was pretty without adding anything to it.
