I logged into my account the same way as always; then I tried to change an account-setting, entered the same password, and was informed on the next screen that my password was WRONG!

I tried that a few times (in case I mis-typed before), but no dice ... what's up with that?

Maybe your temp files need cleaned out? Or after closing and reopening your browser it will be OK. Even though I have autofill, and my password is saved, I still always write it down because I have too many sites to keep track of to rely on my own memory. But if you were already signed in, then went to make changes and got logged out, then it wouldn't accept your password again, I'm not at all sure why. Other than the temp file thing. If it happens again, maybe submit a ticket to admin.  :)

When you logged in, did you actually type in the password or was it automatically filled in by your computer?

If you typed it in manually, and then typed the same letters/numbers for making the change, might you have put the Caps Lock on in between?  (That's happened to me and it's the first thing I check when my password is rejected.)

If your computer entered your login password automatically, then check whether your Caps Lock is on or off when you manually typed in the password when making the change.

So my 'forum'-password ISN'T different than my 'FusionCash-account'-password?

Mine isn't.  I don't remember having to register for the forum (which would generally require the entry of a user name and password -- but if it did, I'm lazy, and would enter the same so I wouldn't have to remember both.)

As to making changes to your account, definitely, the password they want is the one you use to login.

If you are still having problems with the password you are trying to use, log out and click on "Forgot password?" and follow the instructions to change your password.  Fc will probably send you a temporary password (write it down or keep the email handy so you can copy/paste the temp password.

You can then login with the temporary one, then change your account password from the temp one to the one you want.  You should be able to make the other admin changes as well.
Hopefully, the change you wanted to make isn't a change in your email address.
