I understand what you mean.  Right now I try to save penny to penny, I believe it will add up some day.  Hope you will save enough for a laptop soon, wish you best of luck.

I know things can be difficult, but you have to find an excuse or trickery to begin saving money - whether this be an emergency fund you create or have a portion of your paycheck auto transfer into a savings where you don't need to think too much about. Even small contributions with a goal in place can be something to look forward to.

You can save money you just have to make it a priority.  Are you spending money on needs or wants?  If you track your money for the next month down to the penny you'll probably find lots of things you are spending needlessly on that you can cut out.

I know how rough it can be.  I actually just got mine by putting a decent used one on layaway in a local *bleep* shop.  It's the only way I would have been able to do it.

Go over your bank statement or receipts. Find out what you are spending on, and if there is anything you can cut out.

You can do it! Just DO IT!  Pay yourself first, and the next important thing next.

HOW CAN ANYONE SAVE MONEY THESE DAYS WITH THE WAY MILK HAS GONE UP IN PRICE AND EVERY DAIRY PRODUCT PLUS HOW THE GOVERNMENT IS SCREWING WITH  PEOPLES INCOME AND HEALTH INSURANCE.  IT TOTALLY SUCKS. ON A SIDE NOTE WHAT WORKS FOR ME AND SAVING MONEY IS NOT USING YOUR SPARE CHANGE AND JUST THROW IT INTO A JAR AND DON'T TOUCH IT FOR A FEW MONTHS. EVEN IF SOMETHING IS $39.01 DON'T USE THE PENNY  PAY WITH A DOLLAR BILL INSTEAD AND THEN GO HOME AND THROW THE 99 CENTS INTO THE JAR IT ALL ADDS UP REALLY FAST I PROMISE.

Will power my dear friend!  Where there is a will there is a way.  If a computer is truly the highest priority on your list then you can make it happen.  You can do without so many things that might seem more important.  I schedule my haircuts out further to save money.  I set goals for my side tasks (like fusion cash).  I find new ways to make it happen. Currently I work two full time jobs to support my family's needs and the expenses still make it tight.  I am about to celebrate my wedding anniversary in three weeks and really want to buy something special in the five hundred dollar range. So I have started giving my plasma/blood to a center for about seventy dollars a week...the present is almost paid for.
