Well I made stick candles when I was a pre-teen and it was easy to me.  Its just melting the wax and having a wick and pouring or dipping in the liquid wax and you can add color and fragrance from oil I do believe.  I never made a jar candle only stick candles.

it is actually very easy it just requires a lot of dipping until you reach the desired length of a candle.  the easiest way i have found to do the wick is to tie it around a Popsicle stick that way you have a handle and you have the ability to let the wick dangle until the wax cools and hardens.

I have heard of it being easy and fun.
My favorite scents are vanilla and cinnamon.

I've made them before it's not to hard. I've even made egg shaped using eggs.

I use to make candles quite often when my daughter was younger.  It was a craft we both enjoyed.  The ones we did were very easy.  Our local craft store had all of the necessary ingredients.  Little milk cartons made great little candles.
Have a wonderful day!

If you have the right stuff to make candles it can be very easy. What makes it hard is if you get the clear crystals to make them and then want to add color and having to shave the right amount of the color blocks.

That is a good question. I have never made any but I think it would be interesting to find out how they are made. It sounds like something I am going to check out.

My only experience with making candles is to melt the wax from an old candle and make a smaller one.  A way to reuse and recycle, I guess.  I bought the wicks.

Is making candles easy?

I have made candles and in my opinion no it is not.  I can't get the candles to actually burn after I make them.  My aunt makes them and hers burn all the way til there is nothing left.  Mine just burn til the wick is down in the wax and goes out.  Sad thing is she will not tell me what kind of wax she is using or how she does it.  Pathetic is you ask me.  I do know she gets her wax in Wisconsin but that is all I could get out of her.  And she uses a soy wax.  I got some soy wax at Hobby Lobby but even when I do pure soy wax I still have the same problem.
