Do you think a true friend is hard to find?

Like that old saying goes - When times get tough, you find out who your REAL friends are.

I'm now experiencing now that someone that I thought was my friend is actually my enemy! I've know them for 17 years.

I don't think it's that hard to find true friends but people think they have far more than they actually do

Its hard to find time for friends when you have a family.

Yes a true friend is hard to come by. I have 3. One is my daughter-in-law. Her hubby passed in 2001. But she has always been there for us. Now  she has married a great young man and I call him my proxy son. Another friend has been a true friend since 1959. The last has been a true friend for a lot years. We are more like sisters then my real sisters. I can tell her everything just as she does me. I had not seen her for almost 7 years and we went to the town she lives in and surprised her. I did not want to leave.

   Yes, I think it is extremely hard if not impossible to find a true friend.  I thought I had one when younger but that friendship fell by the wayside.  I hear of people who have had friends over an entire lifetime.  I envy that because it has always eluded me.

Yes, if you have one or two your whole life, you are blessed...but that's all you really need!=)

YES-there are very few true friends.

I agree with black sheep.......get in real need and see who will bail on you...lip lovers are all over the place....

A true friend is hard to find. People you think that are your friend; are not really your friend. It not easy having a true friend.

I agree with blacksheep. You find out who your friends are when you're in need. I think it is hard to find a true friend.

Yes, I think true friends are hard to find.  In my lifetime, I've only had five or six - my mother, my husband, my grandmother, my daughter, and my best girl-friend.  I met my friend when I started my first full-time job, and we've been friends for more than 50 years.  We are closer than my other family members.
