I read in the Wall Street Journal that Amazon will open it's first store building in the heart of NYC. What a good idea.

I think it could be a good idea to. It would be cool to be able to do in store pick up as long as there wasn't fees for that.

I've been really loving Amazon this year.
I order lots of stuff & get some really great deals.  Saves time & money shopping around for items.   Can't beat getting it shipped to the house for free.

I would like an Amazon store, but the internet version of it is probably just as good if not better.    So many deals!

I am sure they get huge breaks on land taxes.  And they do have brick and motar stores already in the form of the warehouses where the stuff we order is stored.  Having a store seems odd because it is like what would they carry?  Not near what all is in the online store.

That could be disastrous! More congestion in the City! Great!! Oh well, Thank goodness I don't live near the City any more but I work just across the river! uugh! I am also a Mechanical Turker for Amazon and love it!

Why would they do that?  They're in-store inventory would be a fraction of what they offer online.  New York is one city. Amazon markets all over the world.  I don't get it.
