Christmas Cards
« on: December 22, 2014, 08:21:36 am »
Does anyone still send out Christmas Cards. I remember my mom used to get them every year when I was a kid, it seems like no one does it anymore?

We used to get a lot, but we only got a few this year.  We also don't send them out anymore, usually.  I had meant to this year, but then I kept putting it off.

I did not send out any this year because I ran out of time but I usually send out every year.  I have received lots of card from friends and family members.

The E-cards seem to be gaining popularity.  And, let's face it:  with the price of postage being what it is and what it will continue to be, electronic greetings will probably become even more popular in the future.

I sent some out to long time friends and some were given to family. I keep costs down. Postage is high.

Not really any more, stamps are so expensive now, noone returns cards, or even a phone call to say thank you, so I dont even know if they appreciate I took the time to write a note in each one

I got a whole bunch this year and I have not had time to send any out myself due to school and work and family life! No excuses, I know! Everyone understands though. I like the picture cards and always save those for memories...

I still send out Chrismas Cards. As I have a lot of extended family who still do this, I feel kind of weird not to. However, I've been doing this for as long as I can remember and I don't see an issue doing them either. I do like keeping people posted outside of Facebook and I do keep the cards I do receive.

I still send out a few Christmas cards to my closest friends and family members but not as many as I used to.  A lot of my older relatives have passed on and the young ones don't seem to care.  I guess they are too busy to write out Christmas cards.
