Busy Baking Cookies
« on: December 22, 2014, 09:40:56 pm »
I spent most of my day baking Christmas cookies - sugar and M&M's.  For me, it wouldn't be Christmas without sugar cookies.  A holiday tradition.

Cookies are on my agenda for Christmas eve.  Gotta bake them and leave some out for Santa.

Most people have a holiday tradition that they all keep, yours sounds fun and yummy. Ours don't, we just do what comes that day on a spur of the moment. I wish we did have one.

Got all 5 different cookies baked and delivered. whew what job plus all the candy. I only had one package to be sent and am hoping it got there ok. The rest were delivered around town. Wednesday I start cooking for Christmas. There will be just three of us, but I always make sure there is plenty cooked so I can send a healthy amount home with my dad as he does not cook and I know he will be happy. At least 3 meals.  Then I will cook something else . Both he and hubby have requested my sweet potato and Apple baked. so that makes it easy when they ask for something. It goes great with a ham  and all the rest.

I forgot to tell you Zippywappy sometimes if you put a slice of dry toast in with the cookies it will keep them from getting hard. I do it all the time.

Got my cookies baked a couple weeks ago.  I host a cookie baking party for friends/family each year - that gets the baking out of the way nicely.  Now it's a matter of getting them bagged up and out the door.  :)

I bring my appetite to consumer the baked cookies from other people. I like to bake cookies too, but it's not a critical thing I do during the holidays anymore, since a number of family members now have dietary restrictions.

My mom and I just finished frosting and decorating 100 sugar cookies for Christmas. We will be giving them to family and friends, that is if we don't eat them all first!
