fresh pears

from Harry and David are so juicy. This last Christmas [the one that just passed], I got a bunch from my brother. Harry and David send them before they ripen. Their timing is impeccable. At first, they are crisp. Two weeks later, they become juicy. Either way, they are delicious.

I am a sucker for good pears.  In the different variety I've tried, I think my favorites are the red pears.  They just seem a little sweeter to me for some reason.

My friend has a pear tree, so we get a couple of buckets every year.  They are sweet and delicious.
I tried a pear smoothie one morning, and that was great too.

I also like Harry and David's fruitcake. It is very tasty every year too and comes in an attractive can that you can use to store stuff like cookies or stamps if you are a collector.

I love pears!  We used to order fruit baskets from a kids organization that sold them but they quit coming around several years ago.  The fruit was always good and fresh!  Wish I knew where they got them but it'd probably be way too high priced now.

Yum!
I love those Harry & David Pears.  I didn't get any as gifts this year,  I should order me some.  So worth the money & sometimes Groupon has some great discounts on them.

I enjoy it but I do not eat it that much, love to place it in the freezer for a few mins and enjoy the Icyness of it.

Here it is just barley into winter and I am already missing the fresh fruits and veggies.  Those in the stores are just not quite the same like a cucumber, they are always just a little soft. I like them crisp the same for the pears and apples. Guess I will just eat them until time for the best comes along.

I love pears, but it is so hard to find good pears any more.  They make a great snack.

I enjoyed reading the posts about Harry and David...I live here in Southern Oregon and Harry and David is our main workplace.  Thanks for enjoying our pears.  Enjoy the new year...
