Sponge Bob Square Pant Movie

I saw Sponge Bob Square Pant the movie with my family. I did not see the entire movie because I fell asleep in the movie theater. I was happy that my children liked it. to me it was a flap.

I felt the same way. I saw it with my GF's little 5 year old... She thought it was great, but it just seemed like a glorified episode of the show, esp. since much of it was just normal animation. I'm just glad we didn't splurge by going to the 3D viewing of it.

Is there a second Sponge Bob movie? Cause I wasn't aware....If so, I haven't even seen the first one. However I do like the televised cartoon.

I AM SURE it captivates the young children in the audience but I don't think I will be seeing the movie, my kids don't watch the cartoon anymore

While I have yet to see the latest 3-D SpongeBob SquarePants movie, I completely hated the first one. This may turn me off entirely to even giving the latest movie a chance. If it is anything like the recent SpongeBob seasons (which are wearing thin on my nerves), then I do not want to see it.

I personally believe that the animated series has run its course. Time to put this baby to rest, Hillenberg.

Two of my nephews want to go see it. To be honest, I hated the first SpongeBob SquarePants movie and I really do not have any interest in seeing this one.

Yeah, it was boring. The 3D was pleasant, but the movie itself was terrible.

I am 61 years old but I love animated movies and am crazy about sponge bob but it sounds like this wasn't viewed as that good.  Oh well I never go anywhere anyway - usually wait until everything is out on dvd and watch it at home.  Sorry to those of you who didn't enjoy it that much.
