the kids are out and the fun begins with what to do with the kids i am glad my kids they really do not like to spend time out of the yard they love that we have a pool and we are getting a hot tub  they like working in the yard helping me with the plants and flowers but they also like hanging out with their friends but they all seem to come to my house but i am greatful that they are respectful i got lucky with my girls

I do not have any children, but hubby is a sub. teacher. I was not ready for him to be home 24/7. I get so much done when he is working.  Oh well it is for just 2 1/2 months and back he goes.

sounds like you have it good, compared to most. It is great that your kids friends have such a good relationship with you. You could be the one that keeps them out of trouble. But them again it could be because you have a pool. Good bonus. Find some fun outdoor activities. Maybe have some contests for prizes. Make their summer a memorable one. Good for You! BMaston12

my son just graduated high school and is working two jobs for now until he goes to college in January, so I can't do a lot with him lately but my nephews come to stay with me a lot and we spend tons of time outside.  it's hard to get him inside once he gets out there lol

So far my grandkids are pretty much with their moms. I needed a break from that.

My kids are busier during the summer then they are during the school year!  I see so much less of them.  Both are working for the first time and putting about thirty hours in a week. My daughter is still going to graduation parties. My son started summer school yesterday and has a tutor on Thursdays (a little trouble with his grades).  I have put him in a reading club and he needs to finish five books or twelve hundred pages by August first (whichever comes first).  My daughter has been busy getting things ready for college in the fall. My son has sports all summer and is on two teams so he is going at it every day ( in addition to cutting a few lawns for money).  I do see them on Sunday nights (phewww-they are busy), when the family goes out for dinner and a movie.

I noticed today how busy the shopping complex was, even lines waiting outside restaurants.  Then I found out that area had middle school promotion/graduation and all the schools were out.   Let the summer madness ensue, going to be fun... and crowded like Saturdays every day  :)
