The Clock

Do you realize that most of us  have to watch the clock several times a day while at work, monday through Friday to arrive at work on time , take breaks,  lunch and to punch out for the day. I am so relieved on Friday evening because that's pretty much when the clock watching slows down for me until Monday morning, lol.

When I was a caregiver my boss seemed to think I had a relaxing day off even if I had a client to put to bed.  I did not.  In order to be to the client on time I had to leave at a specific time.  In order to be my best for them I had to eat at a time where I wouldn't be hungry or too full while with my client.  To accomplish these two requirements I had to prepare dinner at a given time, which meant being home before that time.  This meant that if I went out for any reason I had to plan my outing and make sure I left early enough to get it done and be back by the given time.  For that to happen I had to get up with the alarm, eat and get ready by the clock.  So much for a relaxing "day off".  My whole day was determined by one appointment.
