I like shopping at Walmart. They seem to have the lowest lines. I just hate how far it is from my house

Since I work for Kroger it's a no brainer I like shopping there.  Gotta support the cause ya know.  But before I worked there I hardly ever went in.  I only shopped the sales ad.  Aldi - hands down is my go to.  Being in Kroger (nearly every day now) I shop the sales ad but also catch great manager special deals regularly.

Ralphs & the 99 cent store.
The 99 cent store by us gets the Sprout shelf pulls, same products dollars cheaper :)

I do Kroger for the most part for the fuel points,  I almost never make anything back on Walmart savings catcher.

Right now I am doing most of my shopping at Krogers (Ralphs and Food 4 Less) because I am a secret shopper and that is the prgram I am working on right now.   I also have a few Smart & Final, Whole Foods and Pavillions.  I can use coupons and have a dollar amount that I am reimbursed for each store, so I have not paid for groceries in about 4 years.

It varies greatly for us.  Yes, even though I don't like to, we shop at the local Walmart Neighborhood store.  It's new and only about a mile from our house.   Prices are great.   We also have Bi-lo, Ingles and Publix all within reasonable distance from home.  So naturally I go through weekly ads, do the digital coupons, etc and go to wherever I can get the best price.  It's one of the advantages of being retired, I have the time to do whatever it takes to save on groceries.    I also regularly use our local farmers market.   We also have a great produce place where we can get the best buys on some great stuff.   I consider us pretty lucky when it comes to choices.

Walmart and JCPenney have excellent sales. Look for the "Clearance" racks.  For groceries, I look for special sales. Today, it is Senior's Day at my local store. I am going shopping to save even more.
