Nope, that's just superstition. It might change your perspective on what happens to you, since you keep it in your mind all day, so you'll interpret bad things as being bad luck from the cat that just crossed your path.

I used to live with some room mates and one of them had a black cat. She even had a shirt for it that said spolied on it or something. And she found it in the middle of the street when it was little. He creeped me out...

No I dont belive in any superstitions> I grew up with a cat so black his name was Midnight and we never had bad luck. A cat is a cat no matter what color it is.

Oddly enough, my grandmother used to say that "A black cat walking towards you is good luck, but walking away it takes the luck with them."

So, according to the old woman, only if they walk away are they bad luck; get your kitty treats folks, make sure your meowing friend doesn't walk away.

no i think its not....there are some mess in the mind of some poeple's......and i think there is no role of cat or dog in ur life's good luck or bad luck ....its all depend on you, what you do and what you get.....

black cat are no more lucky or unlucky than any other cat .or any other stupid thing that they believed in the dark ages that where it came from! just like walking under a ladder is unlucky. luck has no thing to do with it.

There is no such thing as external luck because I believe luck is all in your head. If you are taking a test and you believe that your good luck charm will help you, you will feel a false sense of confidence that may actually help you achieve better results. Same thing with a bad luck charm except you will feel the opposite of confidence and you may do worse.

personally i don't like cats so much... and definitely there are not bad luck

I kind of follow some superstitions like spilling salt, but black cats are not one of them.  I don't really believe in a religion though, so the whole black cat = witch thing doesn't affect me.
