I Have BEDBUGS?!?

HELP!


I just recently moved into a house very nice house, big spacious has 2 bathrooms 4 bedrooms, and i was thinking about renting out some rooms since its so nice and big but after 4 months of living there i have been noticing that i have been getting these bites on my legs... then one day while i was cleaning... i noticed a bug on my bed... i captured it and i started to do some research on the bug... initially i thought it was a tick but then i came to realize that it was bedbugs... i started getting bed covers, and even got powders and sprays but i still see them around. albiet i dont get bitten as much anymore i still see them here and there... this house i live in i pay rent of 1500 a month including a person i live nextdoor with! it was after 2 months that i realized i was paying for someone else's electricity and water expenses!!!! the house came with so many flaws!!! the water heater didnt work meaning that i bathed in cold water at first so after about a month i had to get somebody to fix that, there were 2 rooms that had no Electricity in the light bulb sockets... the oven doent even work so i had to buy a mini-oven (But Stove Works), and for a while the outlets one by one started going out.... all of a sudden... i had my air conditioning started going on and off. i literally had to call every single day just to get my landlord to fix these problems but for a long time she intentionally did not answer me. when my electrician FINALLY came over to fix my air conditioning and electricity he Even Said "I Promised Myself That i'd Never Come Back Here Again" i asked why and he said that the people who lived there before were SO DIRTY he could not even walk into the house without walking into trash on the floor let alone could he even see it. it took him 45 mins to go into the attic JUST TO SEE THE PROBLEM with the house's electricity and FIX IT. on top of that he said the house had RATS Which carried BEDBUGS and ROACHES. but since i lived here i have only seen bedbugs ONLY. i want to know how to get rid of these PESKY bugs And How To KEEP Them Away!!!!! Any Suggestions?

I think you need to call a Professional bug person.  PS:  After reading this story, I would make sure your Landlord knows that his house is contaminated with Bed Bugs and that HE/SHE should be paying for the removal of the little buggers.  If it were me, I'd be moving the h*ll out like yesterday!

I rented a house that kept having problem after problem (without the bugs) and the landlady lived about 50 miles away, so she got so tired of coming over to get problems fixed, one day she said if she thought I would buy the hous she would sell it really cheap with no money down, SO I BOUGHT IT! I didn't mind fixing the problems then and I sold it a few years later for a big profit.

I seen bed bug insecticide at the store here. I don't know how to suggest but I will try. I seen infestation tv show, the bugs can live/sleep far away from the bed, so clean/spray odd corners of the closet, so get a bugman professional. They like crevices, maybe get a resurface premier paint that kills mold and spores, they have a wall paint that kills viruses, really, but do paint all the house's walls the floor the ceiling at the same time, so get a professional house painter. In my mind, this should work, don't offer them a place to hid, get rid of all rugs, so take pictures. Than bill your landlord, free lawyer for this kind of thing do your paper work right, and get proof!, maybe talk to a lawyer first. Hate bugs, these are not your friends!

Yikes that sounds terrible. Maybe get a hotel room for a few days and call an exterminator? They can hide behind (and inside) fixtures and other things. Usually they aren't just in your bed.

My mom's friend had them and what a nightmare that was. I guess just wash everything and call the bug guy.

Sounds like an apartment our family lived in for several years.  There were always problems  We moved there because rent was cheap and we wanted to save.  We didn't know anything about the place other than family would be living right next store.  We soon found out the place had problem after problem and the landlord did little to fix any of them.  The place had a past...it was known for it's history to all the locals.  We saved and got out.  We're forever grateful for our home now.  Good luck.

It should be the landlord's expense...check with a lawyer.

A big house can got thousands of dollars to have a professional exterminator take care of bedbugs.  Do some research.   

Orkin has a procedure where they superheat the entire house---which basically cooks the bedbugs. 

Orkin has you remove lots of items that can melt.  They have you move the furniture away from the walls, remove pictures, stand beds up on their sides....etc etc etc.

Bless your heart!  I saw a news article where they found bed bugs on the mobile carts at a Wal-Mart.  It showed them totally infested with them.
