Anxiety Emotion at Times and Illness at Other Times?

Can anxiety be a simple emotion in some people and a severe illness in others? I had anxiety as an illness for such a long time (and am not quite sure whether or not I have seriously reached full recovery).

Yes. Clinical anxiety is different from just feeling anxious. People feel worried a lot of the time, but when it becomes severe you can get treatment for it.
