Have you ever had a boss that yells at everybody?

How do you handle this? Stay or look elsewhere?

Indeed I do have a boss like that.  Usually in the world of retail the top dog barks orders and they trickle down the line of management.  This one has no problem confronting whomever why things aren't done.  Half the time I'm not aware of tasks that were expected to be completed.  So I feel incompetent when I don't have an answer as to why something wasn't done when I knew nothing about it to begin with.  For me, I stay.  I like what I do and the rest of the mumbo jumbo is just that.

I do believe you gots to take it, hopefully it don't last for days. Maybe the workers needs to learn so the boss wont get shookup. It takes a lot of energy to yells, I get tired.

I have worked for a yeller before. I needed the money so I put up with it until they sent him packing. Not an easy decision but I want to provide for my family.

Once I had a boss who was part of the group that went in to Jonestown and had to recover all the dead bodies. Every time he would talk about it he would shut himself in his office and get drunk. When he came out he would yell and scream at everyone, but we all knew he was "bleep" faced so we never took it seriously. Learned to be patient at that job.

Never! Look else where and tell him or her to shove it where the sun don't shine! Who are they to yell and belittle people. That's not a leader, that's a bully!

yes  I had one a long time ago.  No one liked this person nothing we did was good enough.  Lucky for us this person didn't stay around long for us to all quit  LOL

People like this are awful to work for but if you need money, especially if you have a family to provide for, you need to know how to bite your tongue until you can find a better situation.

I would not have lasted long with a yeller.  Having to deal with this is added stress to anyone's life.  If you like what you are doing otherwise, you will have to adopt a mental attitude that will help you cope.  If you have the luxury of finding another job, then THAT would surely look inviting.  But, you know what, you could always end up with a situation that's worse.  Look for the silver lining.

I have had several.  I do not put up with it any more.  I had one years ago that everyone called in sick one day.  I was the last one to call in.  And he yells at me on the phone telling me YOU HAVE TO COME IN!  Uh screw you big boy.  I quit!  He did not open the restaurant that day.

Not only did he yell at every one but he would throw stuff and yell at us in another language.  Whatever language they spoke in South Africa.  That is where he was from.

I had before, he is the owner and always yell because a high blood person. He is a good boss but he yells .

I've never had one that yelled at me, thankfully.  I'm a very timid person and I don't think I would stay at a job where someone yelled all the time.
