You don't have to start a post to get credited. Replying to other people's posts will earn you $ too.

You can do both. You can start a conversation or you can also answer other peoples question or post.

you can do both to get credit. Just try and make them at least 10 to 15 words longer. the more content the more likely they will count towards your 30 posts.

Any post you make counts toward the 30.  You can go to "my account" and on the left "forum posting bonus" or whatever it says - click that and it shows you how many posts you have made.  If you submit a post and then edit or delete it then it messes up where you submitted your 3.  Your posts also have to be real words that string together to make a conversation.  You cannot post a bunch of one word posts like ha or lol or whatever.  It has to contribute to the conversation.  And the words have to make complete sentences.  Some people just type random crap to get a post in.

Just don't start the same conversation 11 times to get several posts.  I have seen people do that and pretty sure they were deleted.

You can talk about other sites.  People do that all the time.  You just cannot post personal links to your other sites where you get credit if people join.  Campaigning for other sites.  But obviously you can do that as well because people do it all the time and even though it is reported it never seems to get taken down.

That is a great question.  It is my understanding that both starting and contributing to discussions count toward the forum post requirement.
