I don't know why but this year I'm trying the pumpkin soup in the mini pumpkins ( bowls ) it just looks so pretty and actually sounds good.

This year is not my year to host so I am just going to sit back relax and let everyone else take care of it for a change.  It is so much work to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for 30 people.

Create something from your own skills. If you come up with something it will be even more special for you and your family

Instead of one person cooking everything, my family does a buffet style meal where every family brings a dish (or two). The turkey, obviously, is done by the host, but doing it this way, everyone can enjoy the holiday.

Try a new recipe for the turkey or the pumpkin pie thing.  I always make homemade pumpkin pies from the halloween pumpkins, but I am trying a different recipe for a pumpkin cheesecake this year.  I also help with the decorations, like different napkin rings or individual place setting names, that kind of thing.  It is fun and different every year.
