Wine! It seems to calm me down which helps with the pain from my lupus and my doc told me to drink a glass every night if needed -- I am not a big drinker at all but I recently tried this and it does help!

Nothing I've tried works.  I take prescription pain medicine and muscle relaxers but they really only help me sleep not be without pain.  I am going to try some of the suggestions that were posted here.  Good luck with your pain it is difficult to live with I know.

I seem to have tried everything. But  the pain in my back is awful at times. But I am thankful that  so far I am not having to use a walker, a cane or a wheelchair. I was told when I was 53  after  2 car wrecks in 3 months. Both times someone ran red lights. I could have gone through surgery with a 50-50 chance of being in a wheel chair or  going through  very painful  therepy for a long time and be able to walk. I chose the it. Sometimes I i would wonder if i made the right  choice. I  did.  But there were days and weeks  when i wonder it was so painful. I wore a full body brace on my bac for 9 months with a lot of screws for adjustments every week and a neck brace 6 months. Thank God it was worth it and i had great bosses at work,

Maybe smoking weed or using the oil that doesn't make you  high. I don't have pain do have spastic legs so take baclofen. Talk to your doc about meds that are not opiates.

For me cryotherapy helps. It takes only few minutes in a a cryotherapy chamber, but it helps. Massages and being in a Jacuzzi also helps me. I have bilateral tennis elbow and golfers elbow plus bilateral tendinitis in my shoulders. The right rotator cuff has a partial tear. I got it all of this from my repetitive work task.

I know it sounds crazy but my mom's Dr told her exercise would help. Also fish oil tablets and heat therapy. He also told her to try meditation.  Hope at least one of these suggestion will be useful to you.

Also, saunas, hot tubs and steam rooms are also beneficial.
