An E-Coli outbreak in five (5) states is reported here, read the article, they don't know the source of the outbreak yet:

http://www.emergencyemail.org/newsemergency/anmviewer.asp?a=16759&z=1

Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia are the five states that have reported E.coli infections relating to particular strain of the bacteria.
As many as 72 people from these states have reported infections and eight have been hospitalized as of April 4, 2019, the agency said. No deaths were reported.

There seems to be so many things that are recalled, it is getting hard to keep up or to even know what to buy!

Why would they want us to just "throw it out"? I'm with all the others, my money doesn't come easy so you better believe I'm going back to the store to get back what I paid!

I think we would all be appalled at the yukky stuff contained in the foods we have eaten over the years.  :o

I really don't pay much attention to recalls anymore. They rarely apply to the things I purchase anyway.

Tyson Foods:

AdvancePierre Foods, a subsidiary of Tyson foods is pulling 20,300 pounds of ready-to-eat beef patties from stores because it may be contaminated with plastic. Tyson acquired AdvancePierre Foods in 2017 and is now faced with the possibility of a major recall.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, (FSIS), consumer complaints regarding soft purple plastic found in ready-to-eat beef patties have raised a flag.   FSIS is concerned that some of the product which was produced Nov. 30, 2018, at AdvancePierre’s Enrid, Okla, plant, may be frozen in food service freezers. Cases weighing 14 pounds each and containing three bags of thirty pattie each were shipped out to food service locations nationwide. According to the USDA, this includes schools.   Although there have been no health issues reported from eating the patties, people are urged to be cautious. Foodservice locations who have purchased patties should not serve or consume them. Unused patties should be thrown away or returned.

Cases are labeled “CN Fully Cooked Flamebroiled Beef Patties Caramel Color Added,” with case code 155-525-0 and package code 8334. The recalled products have the establishment number “EST. 2260E” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

68,000 pounds of  Organic Purdue Chicken Nuggets recalled –  In late January, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that consumers reported finding wood in ready-to-eat nuggets

I am glad someone is watching out for the good of the public.  And I think it is a good idea to return the product so the manufacturer becomes aware of the problem.

Oh Lord. I tell ya, if it isn't the recent measles outbreak across various parts of the country, it is product/food recalls. I haven't kept up with food recalls in a few months. For the OP (or any one else), what is the background story behind the General Mills flour one?
