I never paid a lot of attention to the royals.  I can see why Megan and Harry would want more freedom and privacy. In the beginning I thought the couple had great plans of changing what little bit of the world that they could and use their status to do so.  I suppose they changed their plans.

Honestly, my interest in celebrity culture has vastly diminished once I realized that they are indeed just regular people. I think they did make their choice to step back because, as you said, they value their privacy. I don't think that will effect their plans to change the world, though; they can continue with their humanitarian efforts on their own (as Meghan did before) without being tied to the Royal Family.

It's their lives and their choice to make decisions that effects their lives.  They will have to live with those decisions, good or bad. The fascination with the "royal" family is beyond me (almost as much as with the K-clan).  My personal opinion is who cares and what business is it of me?

Well stated - that's how I feel about the situation!

I think he doesn't need to cut himself off from his family.  He will regret it someday.  She needs to learn to act like a royal and not just be in it for the money or fame.

I don't see it as him cutting "himself off from his family" but rather as an attempt for them to try and escape some of the negativity that's been following them in the media. Everyone loves to speculate about motives but she was making her own money from her acting career and she wasn't completely anonymous (I personally knew who she was before she even got with Harry because I watched Suits from the premiere season.). I applaud her for not changing who she is to try and fit into a family - Royal or not. Saying she needs to "act like a royal" just sounds ridiculous to me. She seems like a sharp, strong-minded woman who refuses to be told how she should live her life and I find it refreshing.

Like a lot of Americans, I don't really get the "Royal" thing, and in a way could really care less.  I have always liked Harry though because he seems like a regular guy, nice, decent and fun.  I kind of like Megyn, but she seems a little stuck up to me.  On the other hand the British Tabloid Media sounds really cut-throat and nasty and it sounds like they were really giving Megyn a hard time.  I wish them and Baby Archie the best (he is a cutie!)   As far as her half-siblings and Dad goes, they sound like  Gold Digger-Hanger-oners, so I put little merit with whatever they whine about.

I couldn't care less about them.  We fought a war so that we wouldn't have to care what they do.

I haven't followed the details that closely, but my initial thought was that they would all probably blame Diana somehow, maybe nurturing his rebellious side when he was young???  It's just a thought that crossed my mind.

I think it's their own business but I Hope they don't regret the decision later on. It's a big decision.

I agree with the person who states families have problems and they are no different as far as family. Of course it's in the news and people want to know. I am trying to not know if you know what I mean, I have my own life to tend to.

I don't follow the royal family so I have only heard bits and pieces of the story, but... It seems that if I had a camera in my face every day of my life since birth and there's zero chance of sitting my bum down on that throne anyway, I wouldn't want to stick around either. He was born into that life without a choice. He should have the option to leave it, if that's what he wants. Everything is not always about money.

From what I've read, Harry has been unhappy for a while being part of the Royal Family. He has always been off on his own. I think they should decide their own path and if this is what is going to make them happy, this is what they should do.

I believe that he made what he thought was best for his family, it is very easy to judge a situation from afar! the British press was cruel to Megan, yes they go after all the people that marry into the royal family but given that she is biracial it just seemed more fierce, hopefully they can live the life they want with some amount of peace and raise their son like they want.

I agree with you! If he felt it was best to leave his post as a Royal, then so be it.

Personally good for them. I'm sure Harrys mother Diana would of never wanted him to feel trapped in the first place. If his marriage works out with Mehgan or not only time will tell . Same with their decision to leave the royal family

I think England should just abolish the royals all together. I don't care about Meghan never liked her as an actress & the way she's acting, after joining the royal family, I can't stand her as a person. I say Prince Harry dump the American trash out of the royal family grounds!
