Stimulus checks for all Americans?

lol.  They have said that would be cheater than the welfare.  Every person gets $10.000.  If you blow it all on bubble gum then you are out of luck. Like you said spend it wisely. But most people are stupid.  The welfare bums get that monthly check and it is gone in 3 days.  And none of the bills are paid.  A school locally a kid comes to school in old dirty clothes. Worn out with holes in them. He tells his teacher how his daddy got his income tax check and bought a 60 inch tv.  So the stimulus checks will be spent about the same.  Then the same idiots will be crying I can't pay my rent. Well sell the big screen tv you got last week.

I think that would be a great idea! There are a lot of people who are out of work due to the virus, but I'm sure they'll still have the regular monthly bills that they have to pay. I'm thankful that my husband's paid on salary and his employer (large corporation) is doing everything possible to keep all of their employees since they'll need them when this is over.

So thankful that my husband and I both work for a food manufacture so our jobs are considered an necessity. I am working for home now but he has to go the plant everyday as his department is facilities. They are taking their temperature everyday as they enter the building and turning away anyone with a slight fever.

I think the stimulus will help a lot.  Many people will use it to take care of bills and feed their families.  This is not the ordinary thing that is happening to our country.  It will be a nice bonus to people who are not losing their jobs or are having to put in overtime.    But hopefully it will also be a good boost to the economy since it has taken such a hit and all the Mom and Pop businesses.

The stimulus checks for all Americans would be a great blessing to all. I do hope the congress will pass this and work together. All of us Americans deserve some help at this time.

I do think that does sound like a good idea but you know a lot of people would blow it! Now they can't pay their rent they didn't expect the pandemic to last until September go figure.

Until September? Where are people getting this?  You cannot lock down the country until September. And what makes you think it will just go away in September?  smh

I think the checks should be distributed in a hardest hit fashion with proof of lost income and/or additional expenses related to the virus at the center of disbursement decisions.We need to control expenditures as someone has to pay for this additional payout-ultimately our kids and generations to come. Just like the tax overhaul in which we received an extra seventy or so dollars per pay check-future generations will pay for that. It isn't like the government will use money slotted for un-necessary programs, cut political salaries, or use unused campaign funds to fund this emergency. Part of the package covers corporate bailouts. This also needs to be monitored. The last round of unsupervised corporate buyouts did not help the masses/employees but, in several cases, allowed the big corporations to initiate stock buy backs.

I wonder how they will determine who to  send the checks to.  Social Security people are still receiving their monthly income, so will they also get a check?
