Your employment status?
« on: October 18, 2009, 07:02:55 pm »
Everyone has been affected by this poor economy. Is there anyone who have been laid off and still searching for work?
I am still lucky to be employed even though like many, my hours have been reduced to a part-timer.
How is everybody surviving right now?

I am a self-employed stay-at-home mom.  I do bookkeeping at home and take care of my little boy.  I will be so lost next year he will start school. :crybaby2:

Laid off for 18 months. Jobs are few and far between. Apply for everything, but when you get older no one is interested in hiring you. Bankruptcy will probably be my only option!!

I work full-time at the front office of a golf resort. It's easy and doesn't pay well, but hey, I can be on here while I'm at work, so at least I'm getting paid twice

I recently left my job at chase bank. I didnt have a choice, I hired in at 32hrs per week. I was able to afford a babysitter. Then they cut me to just 20 hrs a week. I was very unhappy there and my babysitter was making more than I was  >:(. So I left and now watch my baby and got a part time job working night when my wife gets home. All in all its working better than when I was working for chase. I look at FusionCash as my extra spending money.  ;D

Im employed full-time and then some.  I complain about my job, but i guess I should be thankful that I still have it.  Everyone  keep your head up and apply for everything.  There are jobs out there, they just might not be what you want. ;)

I am unemployed.  I had gone back to school in 2006 to get my MLIS and I graduated in Dec. 2007.  I landed a job working as a researcher for a business magazine in March of 2008 only to be laid off in March of 2009.  I am still looking for work.   :crybaby2:
