Its EZ to see why infections have gone up being casual while in NY Cuomo was on top of bringing #s down what he did.

Isn't it weird how NY COVID mortalities practically disappeared as soon as CUOMO stopped sending infected patients to nursing homes?

I'm trying really hard to understand what exactly Trump is supposed to do about a virus. He's not a doctor or a magician, and he doesn't control the world. This is a pandemic. Nearly every country (if not all) in the world is dealing with this, some harder hit than others. Trump can't monitor the situation in every city, county and state individually. It's easier to control on a local level. My state has been doing fairly well so far, because the governor has been opening things up more slowly. If your area is a free-for-all and your hospitals are overwhelmed, that's on your local officials.

For one he didn't have to get rid of the pandemic office.  These are the experts who know what the hell they are talking about and who we needed to listen too.

He should have acted sooner when he got the information and taken it seriously and not think it was a hoax.

He should have put real experts in charge instead of listening to his ignorant son in law.

He should have listened to the CDC and came up with a national unified strategy instead of failing to lead and left it up to each state to fend for themselves.

I could go on and on about how he miserably failed to do his job.  That's what he could have done about the virus at the very minimum.

“Persons in health do not need a physician, but the ailing do.”—Matthew 9:12.

Preventivness can go a long way where U never need the Dr.

Again dont be too casual.Be wise not foolish.

Prov 14:12-There is a way before before a man that seems right, but ends up in death.

I think a big part of the problem is people are refusing to take personal responsibility for keeping themselves and others around them safe. Look we are all tired of wearing these masks; but unfortunately that seems to be our new normal for at least awhile.

People are becoming too restless, impatient and selfish

The news is broadly broadcasted now and it's climbing, unbelievable. Hope that it will be controlled soon.

I believe it is a direct result of testing so many individuals. Most show no symptoms, a few will get sick, and a very small percentage will die. It's the flu, albeit a bad one. Precautions should be taken just like we've always done in the flu season. That's IMO.

I know I am in the minority here on FC because fear has gripped so many. Have you considered that it may be a political tactic? I'm just sayin'.

Bingo. The virus is real but much of the reaction to it, I believe, is massively political. People die of the flu every year and nobody changes their routine. What do you want to bet things will mysteriously ease up in November.

The CDC and the WHO, both so-called experts, kept feeding us conflicting information back when it started. Which "expert" were we supposed to believe? We have scientific studies that still cannot agree whether cloth masks are effective in preventing infection. Which scientists are we supposed to believe? As far as each state fending for themselves, I think that is the right strategy. Do you think New York City should use the same strategy as a county with a population of 5000 in the middle of nowhere North Dakota? The US is one of the largest and most varied countries in the world, geographically. It's obviously more difficult to control a pandemic here than, say in Italy, a country smaller in area than some of our states, where they couldn't control a pandemic either. So no, I still don't understand what one man is supposed to do about a worldwide issue.
