i am 100% supportive of making marijuana legal! there are so many people are here who have posted negative things about this and most of the comments are unfounded and ignorant. there are plenty of people that smoke marijuana and still have steady jobs, support themselves and their families, and are not rapists, thieves and drug dealers. there are people who drink alcohol, and by no means am i saying that everyone who drinks does this, but there are some that get drunk and then go home and beat their wives and kids, or they get into a car and kill people in horrible car crashes. do you know what most pot heads do? they smoke a bowl or a joint, they eat a bunch of junk food and then they sit their asses on the couch and watch stupid tv. who are they hurting? you could argue that pot affects your judgement but the truth is that most people that smoke pot don;t really have the motivation to get up and do something that would result in harm to others.

and... making this drug legal would help out the economy so much! just in the state of california, it would create over $80 million dollars of taxable revenue.

anyone with a high Iq should have the capacity to realize the forementioned facts!

I love you...we should so write a book togethor. I am sure we could make a lot more reasons why it SHOULD be legal. :D

well we are not talking about a trillion other things and this topic is about weed

people who smoke weed are fried eggs in the pan...why you took this as directed to only you...i have no idea.

I dont think people understand me or how I talk and maybe that's because I have a higher IQ than the Average bear lol

It's too much to explain what I mean because it's like a hard math problem, they just can't get it and don't understand it and swear it makes no sense :D
The valedictorian of my mom's high school was a huge pothead.
My boyfriend made honor roll while smoking every day.

This point is completely invalid.

Yes absolutely there are so many things that would be much less of a problem if it was, I live in a city full of drugs and violence and if it was legal then there could be more police concentration on the things that are even more of a problem like crack cocaine and heroin, which cause major violence every day while people are being arrested for petty marijuana charges.  Plus in my opinion alcohol is just as bad a drug and if it was government controlled then there would be tax money from the sale of it, then everyone's happy.

I love how the media makes marijuana out to be the worst thing on the planet.  After being in the military for over seven years I can recall many instances in which buddies of mine would get drunk and do things completely out of character for them including but not limited to; getting into fights; stealing things; harassing people; and having sex with questionable women.  Obviously it doesn't do this to everyone but I can't recall any of my buddies in high school that smoked pot having these kind of problems.
Also marijuana is less addictive than caffeine.  How bad could it really be... and forget everything you learned about it in school.

weed is not a lethal drug and is safer than alcohol. It is a scientific fact that pot is not toxic to humans. marijuana overdoses are nearly impossible, and marijuana is not nearly as addictive as alcohol or tobacco. It is unfair to treat marijuana users more harshly under the law than the users of alcohol or tobacco. weed would save our government lots of money. In the United States, all levels of government participate in the "War on Drugs." We currently spend billions of dollars every year to chase peaceful people who happen to like to get high. We have to pay for food, housing, health care, attorney fees, court costs, and other expenses to lock these people up. This is extremely expensive! We could save billions of dollars every year as a nation if we stop wasting money locking people up for having marijuana. In addition, if marijuana were legal, the government would be able to collect taxes on it, and would have a lot more money to pay for effective drug education programs and other important causes.......and on that note, im going to spark this "L"   :icon_rr:
