Cell Phone Carrier - Do you like them?

 Who is your cell phone carrier and do you like them?  Mine is Verizon.  It used to be Alltel and then they were bought out by Verizon.  My bill has gone up by $15, I bought a new smart phone a year ago when it was still Alltel, and now Verizon is telling me I have to buy a new phone because mine will no longer work after January.  I'm really mad about this, because my plan isn't due for renewal until June 2013.  So what they are saying is if I want to have the ability to use a cell phone I must buy a new phone and then they will want me to renew my plan.  I think this is BS and I may switch to another carrier because of the way they treat people.  Oh and when I called about the $15 rise on my bill they said it was because  I had downloaded an app, that was totally a lie and I challenged them on it, they said they would fix it, but they have not, still paying the extra $15.

I have Verizon. I think they are altight. I just hate my phone.

Like you I have Verizon, which was Alltel.  I do wish they would make their cost a little more affordable.

Sprint was my carrier for a long time and it cost me $100 per month. Before Sprint I had a pre-paid phone, analog, can't remember the provider. Now that I dropped my land line and use Majic Jack, Skype and Gmail Phone! I am going to get a TracFone. I have heard all the comments and complaints about dropped calls I had that with Sprint too and dead zones. Since I will limit its use, using it only when I travel, it should be okay in this area. Just hope they have triple minutes for life as advertised, when I am ready to buy it.

I am currently with Verizon Wireless. The service as far as the network goes is wonderful, but the prices are seriously unreasonable. My phones are always breaking down, and they won't negotiate with me about getting a better phone. At the start of my contract I would recommend them to almost everyone that I know, now I'm currently considering changing providers.

I have metro pcs I'm satisfied with them no contract and bill never goes up limited text, calling and internet for $43 a month

I use my phone carrier quite often. I find them very useful when I am wearing shorts or sweatpants that do not have any pockets. I hate having to carry my phone by hand if I don't have any pockets. I don't use them when I have jeans however.

That is more than just your provider. You also seem to have a problem with the phone manufacture as well. My last phone with Sprint was a Blackberry from RIM. Hope TrackFone has a similar one, because I still use it for so much it is great. Use it for everything but phone service and the internet, lol!

Most of that sounds like you have a problem with your phone instead of the AT&T network. I have AT&T and don't have any of those problems. I think the bill is outrageous but I have good service, no dropped calls and generally always have service unless i'm somewhere with a large amount of people( football games, large concerts, etc)

I have Sprint and I definitely love the pricing and the plans. Where I live is the only true unlimited data plan. Other companies like T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T either charge you more (make you buy additional data) or flat out throttle your connection. I have many friends and family members who get the infamous and dreaded "Your data usage is among the top 5 percent of users...", even the ones who have grandfathered unlimited contracts are affected and totally enraged. I am a very heavy user, and never had a problem with speed or connection. I'd love a little bit more of coverage, because main cities give me full bars strength, but some areas I constantly have about two bars, which still gives me access to everything and I've never had a dropped call.

I have Tracefone its ok I guess but I used to have AT&T and I love AT&T there r da best and Im talking about per-pay and with Tracefone I am also per-pay with them too.

I have AT&T. They are ok but I really wish we could have a cheaper plan. Me and my husband hardly even use our cell phones, and text once in awhile but we pay about $90 a month for two phones. If we want any extras it is much more. I'm not sure how other companies compare and haven't really look since we are stuck in a contract for quite a long time now.

Mine is Sprint.  They're ok, probably still have the best data network out there.
