Bananas
« on: May 19, 2013, 09:10:14 am »
Are any of you aware that bananas don't look and taste the same as when you were younger( that is if you were born before 60's)  Banana crop as you  knew back then was wiped out by a blight.  Bananas taste and look different today.  Anyone aware of this?

Wow that is interesting.  I never knew that, course I was born in 87 so that would explain that but I am going to ask my mom if she knew about this.  ???

Some bananas tastes good and some have no taste.  I guest it depends on the ripeness of the bananas.

NO really have not noticed to much difference in the taste, We buy bananas all the time. I liked them when they are a little ripe but not mushy and brown.

Think GMO.

I bought regular bananas and organic to test, just to see if there really was any difference.

The organic ones tasted more like bananas are supposed to. :)
