remembering on Memorial Day

I don't want to neglect to say thank you to those that made the ultimate sacrifice for my freedom.  Memorial day is the time to purposely remember.

Absolutely! The sacrifices our men and women give for our country we will never understand. As the Vets say, "You would have to be there to get it." But we can still empathize with them and their families. I wish that our government would do more for the returning vets, but we really can't do much about that. What we can do is honor them on days like today with flags and flowers. I also am proud of what Wounded Warriors do for them. God Bless our Vets!

Went up yesterday to clean some and help put out the flags and then clean and put flowers out at my children's graves. It is a small town and we all donate some time to help. Even if I live 90 miles away. So many of our fallen hero's are forgotten as their family's pass away. I am so grateful that all of my family have always made it home. But I feel it is up to us to honor all of them alive or dead.
