Whatever day you celebrate Jesus birth <and im sure its 12/25 to keep your status with catholics on FC>...Jesus didnt have to go thru his being treated as a criminal, tormented and humiliated till death. He accepted it and chose to do so for the love of mankind and vindicate his father as TRUE God and break up the works of the devil.

While being born as a man on earth to start this mission he could have still said NO.Then your birth of Jesus would not have the value as it had cos of his death.

13 How was the ransom paid? On the 14th day of the Jewish month Nisan in 33 C.E., God allowed his perfect and sinless Son to be executed. Jesus thus sacrificed his perfect human life “once for all time.” (Hebrews 10:10) On the third day after Jesus died, Jehovah raised him back to spirit life. In heaven, Jesus presented to God the value of his perfect human life sacrificed as a ransom in  exchange for Adam’s offspring. (Hebrews 9:24) Jehovah accepted the value of Jesus’ sacrifice as the ransom needed to deliver mankind from slavery to sin and death.—Romans 3:23, 24.

Isn't that kind of a weak argument against Christmas though? He coulda said no?

I am not sure why i even bother but hopefully 1 soul will see the truth....

Does it really make any difference if a person cherishes a cross, as long as he does not worship it?
How would you feel if one of your dearest friends was executed on the basis of false charges? Would you make a replica of the instrument of execution? Would you cherish it, or would you rather shun it?
In ancient Israel, unfaithful Jews wept over the death of the false god Tammuz. Jehovah spoke of what they were doing as being a ‘detestable thing.’ (Ezek. 8:13, 14) According to history, Tammuz was a Babylonian god, and the cross was used as his symbol. From its beginning in the days of Nimrod, Babylon was against Jehovah and an enemy of true worship. (Gen. 10:8-10; Jer. 50:29) So by cherishing the cross, a person is honoring a symbol of worship that is opposed to the true God.
Like I said it's a symbol of Christ's victory. He defeated the cross- defeated sin- defeated Death itself. But the Watchtower doesn't see it that way,so they re-wrote history by calling it a "torture stake".Now,if the Watchtower can't get the simplest things, like historical facts right, how can they be trusted to rightly interpret the Word of God?

I am a believe of Jesus Christ and I believe in letting God do the judging. Be kind to everyone, because after all it is between you and God anyway.

Again ABSOLUTELY no command to celebrate Jesus birth.....his death is what mattered.Of course he had to be born to do the will of his father but if he didnt do it his birth would have meant NOTHING!!!

You are the 1 re-writing the bible.

And on the cross i answered you.....i gave u valid asnswers with cross references to scriptures...why dont you just fess up you wanna decide whats good and whats bad here!!

Gods people in 236 lands...20 million attend The Memorial and you cant discern anything here???

Please.....I have nothing more to say on this...theres enuff witnessing in this topic without adding to it.....

You cant even get straight 144000!Yes they go to heaven and rule with Jesus but you make NO mention of the greater flock with life on earth. You are blinded by this soul doesnt die theory and u go to heaven or hell!!

Scriptures like the righteous will inherit the earth and the Lion will be led by a little boy have no meaning to you or you are not familiar with them.

You have access to their literature...i suggest you brush up on it!!

6 The 144,000 will serve as heavenly kings, priests, and judges during the Thousand Year Reign. (Rev. 20:4) Whom will they judge, and over whom will they rule? At Matthew 19:28 and Luke 22:30, we are told that they will judge “the twelve tribes of Israel.” Whom do “the twelve tribes of Israel” picture in this context? They represent all those with an earthly hope—those who put faith in Jesus’ sacrifice but are not included in the royal priestly class. (The tribe of Levi was not included in the listing of the 12 tribes of natural Israel.) Those pictured in this context by the 12 tribes of Israel are the ones who will gain spiritual benefits from the priestly services of the 144,000. These nonpriestly beneficiaries are also God’s people, and he loves and accepts them. It is appropriate that they are likened to his people of ancient times.
7 Fittingly, after the apostle John saw the 144,000 spiritual Israelites being permanently sealed before the great tribulation, he also observed a numberless “great crowd,” who come “out of all nations.” (Rev. 7:9) These will survive the great tribulation into Christ’s Millennial Reign. There they will be joined by billions of resurrected ones. (John 5:28, 29; Rev. 20:13) All of these will make up the symbolic “twelve tribes of Israel,” who will be judged by Jesus and his 144,000 corulers.—Acts 17:31; 24:15; Rev. 20:12.

“The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.” (Psalm 37:29) “There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth; on the top of the mountains there will be an overflow.” (Psalm 72:16) “The upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it.” (Proverbs 2:21) “They [the blameless] will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.”—Isaiah 11:9.

So much for your heaven and hell theory........Gods original plan was for man to live forever in paradise on earth with Jehovahs rule.

I am a security guard for a wealthy gated community. If residents at the end of the yr want to give me a tip for the service i provide them i have no problem accepting that and saying thanx for their generosity and accepting their appreciation of my job.I dont take it in the name of Jesus birthday.

In April this past yr The Memorial was held worldwide for a command Jesus said to observe for his death.I observed it and attended it in appreciation for what Jesus and his father did for me and the human race in ransoming mankind from sin and death.

Xmas is pagan and there is nothing in the bible that supports it!!

We will all be judged and we will all die... Doesn't matter who you are, what religion you are, or what you believe... Either way if your hearts in the right place before you go I wouldn't worry about it

Batmobile.....you have a pipeline to heaven?

I agree with you on we all will be judged. But there will be some that come out of the Great Tribulation into Gods kingdom that will NEVER die.

Watchtower online library can help you discern that if you are so inclined to want to know.

.  I would rather take advice from my friends, other fellow Christians, even a peaceful Buddhist... Than from a confused Jehovah's Witness, Pentecostal, or Muslim... Not sure which is worse... Maybe read the book of watch the movie" heaven is for real"

that's sad to have nothing to look forward to... There is even scientific evidence that proves otherwise...so you are wrong about that... Our energy doesn't just disappear... It leaves our shell of a body... If there is no after life explain ghosts please...  ???? And near death experiences ??? I hope You do go to heaven and don't wander the Earth or go to Hell... God will say sorry " no entry" you denied my existence and didn't give me a chance after I created you

I am an athiest. Religion just isn't for me, and I only see it as a way to cope with the fact that after death, you're gone. Your body goes six feet under, and that's the end of that. It's not because I know of someone who was declared dead for eight minutes and said that there was just darkness- nothing, although I do. It's because it seems completely ridiculous to me. And, for any person that believes in God and the Bible and wishes to judge me, all I have to say to that is this: go look up Matthew 7 and then think about that for a while before you respond.  ;)
