What brand vacuum do you use?

we have a hoover i think it is had it for a couple years-- would love a dyson, but are  too pricey for my blood   the hoover seems to be doing a good job though.

I use a Dyson with the ball technology that helps it to get into corners, under furniture and all sort of spots.  It's only a year and a half old, but has many plastic parts, so I'm afraid something could break before too long.  Not quite like my metal Electrolux froom 30 years ago.

I  have a 5 horse power shop vac because I have animals in the house. Works great its about 15 years old.  Does good on carpet,

We used to use our Bissel but we recently moved and now have hardwood floors that we use a dirt devil stick vac on. It is awesome and works great on hardwood floors and even upholstery.

I have an old Hoover and a pretty heavy Dyson. I am looking in the near future for something a bit more portable and with a better suction than what I have. The Shark has been getting a lot of attention, so I might see what options there are soon.

I have a Dyson compact upright (ball technology).  The handle retracts down so it's a little more flexible than the full upright versions.  Absolutely love the machine - amazing how much stuff it sucks up.  Only thing is recently I didn't clean the hair out of the brush soon enough and it got so clogged that it melted one of the brush ends.  It still works, but isn't setting quite right so I'll have to order a replacement part before it actually does stop working.
