Well, in two weeks, I will be paying off one of my many debts and I am so happy. One will be gone   and several to go.

Are you working on a plan to pay off bills?

I love it when you finally pay off a debt and you have some spare cash. The only problem is, as soon as I tell my husband we have paid off a debt, he tends to view this available cash as spendable. I recall one time I made a conscious decision to pay as little of my debt off as possible so that my husband wouldn't start his window shopping too early. I really don't like having the debt, but worse than that, I don't want to accrue even more debt!

Yes, we are trying to paid them off.  We started last year before my husband retired and they are almost gone.

Yes great to pay off debts had a credit card with a high interest rate and paid it off. My son bought his first car with a little help from us he's looking at a 5000.00 loan .he is working so its ok to me to him he doesn't like it wants to pay it off sooner .

Paying off a debt is an accomplishment in itself.  You are to be commented.  This definitely takes discipline and sticking to your plan. This is wonderful...

The best way to get rid of debt is to attack the smaller amounts first, which is what I always do.

What a relief that is when you get a major bill paid off!  The Lord has blessed us.  We had everything paid off until I bought a new car.  I'm trying to fast-track paying it off.  It is nice to have a little bit left over after each week's pay check!

I'm slowly becoming debt free. I just started You Need a Budget (YNAB). Hopefully this will get more to where I want to be. :thumbsup:
