If your house was on fire and you only had time to grab one thing before getting out, what would it be?

My Parrot and my goldfish.  Then my computer and purses. And of course, my family photos and Keurig coffee maker.  But my parrot would be first.

Our dog, if he was still living...but i would grab 2 folders from the filing cabinet...our life insurance policies and our car titles and my purse, then my external backup drive because it has all my files on it (except for the programs, of course). All are within a stone's throw from each other, so it wouldn't be hard to do this.

My pants, I have dreamed about rushing out of the burning house with no pants and it was extremely embarrassing.

I also had a house fire. I called to my son to get out of the house and carried out my cell phone which I was using to call the fire department.

Didn't really have anything else. It was all so fast.  :sad1:

I think my computer or wallet or just anything just because my house is on fire. I don't have any pets anymore so it would be my cat if she was still alive.

My husband and my daughter! Material possessions are replaceable but humans are not!!! I have never had  a house fire and I pray I never do. I remember having a dream many years ago, when my husband and I lived in an apartment when we first  got married. In the dream we where standing outside together, while the apartment building was burning down. All we had was each other. I will always remember that dream as long as I live.
