I like house plants, we live in the country and the ants that they where a good home, when it was either to wet or hot outside they had to go.

I wish I had more room for house plants.  They are also good for your health.  We live in a manufactured home and everything has to have a place.  Right now all the "places" are in use! :(

My mother had a green thumb and I grew up surrounded by house plants.  We always had a couple of African violets, and I remember her growing big, beautiful plants from avocado seeds.  I have a variety of my own plants, but they don't thrive as well as my mother's.  However, I do have a pot of chives that has been in my windowsill for several years, and I have two poinsettias left over from the last two Christmases.  My 2017 poinsettia is a little confused, though, because it is just now presenting it's bright red leaves.

No, I can't say I have house plants but I like to do floral arrangements.  I have dozens of fake flowers around the house because for me, the time it takes to make the arrangement at least fake flowers last forever while the real stuff dies within a week so it's like you did all that for nothing.

Second, I think most people who are plant people do talk to their plants.  I mean they are alive. :D

LOL I talk to my plants all the time, If they are not doing well I baby talk them (dont judge me anyone lol) But if they still arent doing well a month later the baby talk is gone, and its if you dont perk yourself up your going in the trash!

I love house plants but I only have one that I can put on a counter my son's cats can't get to because so many plants are toxic to cats.  These cat's are so old when they go I am getting a lot of house plants not that I want them to go.  They are about 18 years old though.

It healthy to have live plants in your home.  I wish I had room for them.  I just don't!  Also, they do need regular attention.
