I would never eat rabbit unless I was starving because I have had 2 as pets and my youngest daughter is now on her 3rd one.  Most of them are sweet, loving animals after they get used to you, and I would never have the heart to kill one.

I haven't had rabbit in a long time.  My husband used to hunt with his father years ago.  My mother-in-law could fry up the best rabbit!  The gravy was out of this world!!
Have a wonderful day!

My mom made rabbit and gravy a couple of times and my hubby raved about it.  He wanted to open up a restaurant after trying it.  I was not very impressed with it and didn't understand all his excitement but realize people like different things.

I barely eat meat not because I don't think it was meant for our use but it just grosses me out.  I only eat what I eat because I get sick of dealing with my older son who lives with me fussing about it.  We ate at a families home when I was a kid and figured out before hand it was rabbit because I knew they raised them so I refused to eat it.  Also I have no use for venison either.  I guess I shouldn't be so picky because we are blessed to have food to eat but I can't help it.

We love  Rabbit stew if it is made  right and only those of us  raised on it seem to know how to cook it,  we also like fried rabbit and gravy.  In fact I have been thinking about raising some.  It is one  farm or game as  some call it. But there  is a big difference in home  grown  rabbits and  game rabbits  running in the wild. Home grown are  fat and sweet. Wild is gaming. I prefer home  grown.  It is one  of a few animals besides pets  you can grow in your  back  yard because they don't stink or make  noise . Are kept in gages.

My grandfather use to make rabbit.  I remember it being tasty but I could have it mixed up with deer.

On the paid to click tab, rabbit stew made the recipe roster. Here it is non-existent to expensive meat at the store. I love rabbit meat, when a baby rolls their eyes in delight well what can you say, until you tell it is a bunny rabbit.
