Yes, we cut the land line, since we all use cell phones now no need to have it there, also cut Cable, don't need it, I have an Over the Air Antenna for local channels and I use my firestick for Netflix, Hulu, pltuotv, Mobdro, etc, so saving ourselve over $200 on bill. Asked Verizon to just Upgrade the Internet, they told me that they need to send a Technician to do Upgrade on their Outside connection! that was 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting, when I check my account I get this message "We are minimizing installations for the safety of our customers and employees during the COVID-19 crisis. We will contact you when we are able to schedule an appointment." Seriously they don't even need to come inside their box is outside of the house.
Also, my husband applied for Unemployment and got a letter from the Department saying that he was not entitled to it, we could not understand why, so tried emailing everyday and calling for 2 1/2 weeks without any luck, not even to get on hold, it just said, all agents are attending other customers call back later. Then finally one day my husband got a hold pls. message, and we held for 6 1/2 hours to talk to an agent and solve his problem, I know they are overwhelmed but damn.
Capital One was the same thing, took me 2 weeks to talk to someone regarding my auto payment. I really believe that some of these companies are just taking advantage of the situation.
