Off-Topic / headache pain relievers
« on: October 30, 2017, 10:58:33 pm »Message ID: 1176310
Is there a certain pain reliever that works for you where the others don't, say for a headache. Excedrin is so expensive but I swear by it, it works almost every time even when other pills with the same ingredients listed do nothing. I don't know why.

I love dogs, almost all kinds. Terriers are some of the cutest but big dogs often seem to have a calmer personality. I would always adopt one from a shelter rather than from a breeder.

I would love to have an apple tree, although I know someone who has one, and they are not apples like at the store. Little and wormy at times. Maybe would not be quite what I'm thinking.

Am I the only one who doesn't even view candy corn as food and not just wax lumps? It's fun as a decoration but... are we even pretending it's flavored at all? :p

Off-Topic / Re: How do you eat your oatmeal?
« on: October 30, 2017, 10:51:46 pm »Message ID: 1176305
I try to eat oatmeal now and then because it's healthy, but I really struggle, it's such a bland and blah food. I like it with brown sugar but then I'd put so much sugar to make it taste good that it would not be healthy anymore.

I do, I don't want to be rude if someone offers me their hand but I'm a little more selective about offering my hand first.

I have never smoked, I don't find it appealing with all the health risks and I certainly have better things to spend my money on.

Off-Topic / Re: Do you cook using cookbooks?

I have a few recipes in cookbooks I refer to but most of the time if I'm looking for something new I just google it and use something from online. I respect using real books but you can't beat the variety of options the internet offers.

Trick or treating was more fun as the kid than it is as the person answering the door. It is actually kind of a scary thing to open your door and not know who is really out there.

Off-Topic / Re: Lots of tv's in your house.

Main one in the living room, a little one in the kitchen. I used to have one in my bedroom but I really don't watch very much tv so I got rid of it and use the space for other things.

Off-Topic / Re: Question about doughnuts.

I get a dozen because I usually buy them for a party or gathering with several people.  I'm not enough of a donut fan to buy just one for myself really.

Off-Topic / Re: what is your preference in the tv ??

I enjoy older classic shows more than most of what's on now. The Good Doctor looked promising but is losing steam I think. All the ABC comedies that were good a few years back have gone to seed.

Never had one myself but I had a friend who had them and that was enough. They're nice to pet for a minute but not a good enough stinky vs cute ratio for me to really want lol

Off-Topic / Re: Have you thought about what you want for Christmas?
« on: October 27, 2017, 09:56:07 am »Message ID: 1175517
I wish gift giving wasn't such a big tradition at Christmas, it stresses me out and detracts from what the day is really about. I don't want anything nor does any of my family and yet we all still go out and try to find each other things.

I use that site too but it's really with the understanding I'm only going to get a few cents per day without thinking about it, and eventually in a LONG while cash out. Surveys fail too often / take too long and I don't bother anymore.
