How many people wear/need glasses?

I am just wondering if the majority of the population wears/needs glasses or not....

EDIT: Or wear contacts, basically, you do not have good vision

I have really bad vision so I wear contacts. If I'm hanging out at the house or just need to give my eyes a rest I wear my glasses. I really want to get lasik but my eye doctor said we have to wait to make sure my eyes are done changing.

I need glasses but I choose to wear contacts.  I hate wearing my glasses.  I need new ones bad.

I wear contacts because it's cheaper than glasses for me.  I need a stronger prescription almost every year.

I wear glasses, but I've been thinking about getting contacts for the past few months.I want the convenience of contacts, but I'm worried about injuring myself. My sister used to wear contacts, but then had to stop when she scratched her cornea, something I worry about.

I wear glasses.  I have tried contacts a couple of times but just could not stand wearing them.....I really wish I could wear contact because I love cheep sunglasses.

I have glasses to where when on computer or reading but often I do not wear them I should but I am silly that way lmao

Well, my glasses sometimes can get annoying, and I want contacts, but parents think I'm too irresponsible....

I wonder why far-sighted people need glasses to drive, I mean they can see the road and everything... I'm near-sighted too, and I wonder what it's like being far-sighted.... well, I don't want to find out from expierience, that's for sure!

I'm near-sighted, but my prescription isn't that bad although it is still changing.  I wear glasses, but I am curious to how contacts feel. XD

I have asymmetrical eyesight as of NOW, my right eye is worse than left.... for now... seems my right eye is doing to my left eye and getting worse, lol

I've worn glasses all my life. (since I was about 3 years old). I played "pirate" for a year (with a patch over the stronger eye...to try and strengthen the weaker one) but it did not work.
