 Thank goodness mine is grown now. His room was a disaster area. I used to tell him I felt sorry for his wife when he got married but he made a liar out of me. He actually cleans house and cleans up after the boys and when they come visit they clean up my kitchen after meals. I told my daughter-n-law she trained him well.

I don't have kids, but my mother rents out a home whose previous occupants have two children. I played the job of merry maid when they bought their own house and moved out.

There was crayon everywhere, and I do mean everywhere. Walls, fireplace doors, cabinets. But it didn't stop at crayon. There was washable paint applied by tiny hands. Unfortunately, while it did wash off after hours of scrubbing, it permanently stained the original paint. Repainting so many walls was a total nightmare! I also had to have someone remove the toilet to unclog it of sunglasses, a toothbrush and a device that changes the color of the water.

 :(

Yes, I have a 4 year old son just wouldn't be happy if he could'nt leave a trail of destruction where ever he went. Its become like his trademark! Actually hes's pretty good about cleaning up after himself...most of the time, other times not so much! But I do agree it is simply amazing how quickly they can get themselves into trouble or into something they shouldn't be....the superpowers of children...its crazy! But even with all that craziness I couldn't imagine my life any other way.

Looking forward to hearing more stories from everyone!

I got three little ones 6, 4, and 2.  When the house gets quiet you can pretty much guess there is a mess.  My youngest likes to pour drink all over the floor and jump in it.  My middle one is sweet and into everything he can.  He likes to go into his room and dump out all the toy box to find that one little toy that momma thought he never played with and handed it down to nieces or nephews.  The oldest is a girl and thinks she can get into momma makeup and fingernail polish who likes to practice on her little brothers.  Put all three messes together and you get one big laugh and What mommy we love you and were trying to help.

Cleaning the house should be a paid job...atleast I feel it should be! It's so much work! Especially with 3 adults and kids coming in and out for daycare! YIKES!

I know the feeling of having a messy child.  I have one son, he is 3.  I was cleaning my bathroom one day and I then walked back in the living room where my son was watching TV only to find him with a new bottle of Ketchup 64oz bottle and he had empty half of the bottle onto my ottoman.  OHHHHHH he was in so much trouble.  I took me 2 hours shampooing the ottoman to get it all off.  It was a good thing that the ketchup had not dried, then it would have really been a mess. :crybaby2:

My son is almost a year old. I took him off the bottle around 5 months and started him on a soft top sippy cup. The tops screwed on but around 8 months he started on a hard top. Those tops just snap into place. He has 8 teeth and just recently started using his teeth to pop the top off the cup. He then dumps the cup out wherever he's sitting. He's lucky he's cute or else I might have to hand him off to grandma ;)

When my (now 28 year old father of 2) brother was just under 2, my mom was on the phone (no cordless phones at the time!) with her back turned to him. He proceeded to pour out his cup of water onto the dinner table and empty a bag of cinnamon red hot's into the puddle smearing it around to make it look like blood. When my mom asked him "Christopher, did you make this mess?" He just pointed to his little dog and said "Puppy 'pills"

Well, I don't have kids, but I do have 9 pets, so I can relate to dealing with messes! My ferret is probably the messiest/smelliest one, but the dogs will shred anything that they can.
