i am and i am getting sick of all the stuff against smokers yes i no it is not anything i should do but i feel they should concentrate on drinking more then smoking duis are out of this world but yet they promote drinking everyday why is that so great

I USE TO SMOKE BUT QUIT 5 YEARS AGO. IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME THAT MY FRIENDS SMOKE AROUND ME, IT WAS MY CHOICE TO QUIT AND THIERS TO SMOKE.

Well I never smoked in my life and I dont think anyone else should either coz it not good for ur health and drinking is not good either smoking n drinking r equally bad for ur health.

I smoke and do try to watch who i am smoking around, but i am entitled to smoke if i want too. Yes i know it is not good for a person, but until someone walks a mile in my shoes and has to pay for them then shut up. I don't complain about other people drining unless they are drunk. But what about all of the pollution that is in the air caused by auto and factories. The crap they put in new carpet and perfumes, you know the list could go on forever of wht is in the air. But it is really easy to blame it all on the smokers.

I have been, but am not any longer. I still love to smoke, but know it is bad to do so i quit. I never smoked in my house though.

i'm a social smoker, mostly. i used to smoke regularly,
but it started making me feel kinda terrible. like sluggish...
so that naturally helped me taper off from them. sometimes
i crave them, but if i have one or two, i'm good for a few
months...

I quit smoking for a year and a half with the help of Chantix, but its so expensive about $150 a bottle so I clearly can't afford it. I don't want to do the patch because some people get addicted to the patch and the gum. Cold turkey ain't the way for me.

I like smoking though, especially when I'm drinking. That seems the best time to light up, or when you're driving, after you eat, or waiting on somebody. Its more about the routine, doing it at certain times. Once you break the habit of doing at those certain times its easier to control when you want one and easier to cut back.

I was a smoker for years.........until I discovered the e-cig.  I bought one just so I could smoke inside without having to go out in the cold!  I discovered I liked it BETTER than regular cigarettes!  Now I haven't had a cigarette since February/ and I never missed it!

I am a seasonal smoker. The reason I call it seasonal is because when I need money to buy food, I choose food over smokes. I drink sometimes too.

Well, I don't think that drinking is any better, however, because someone drinks next to you, doesn't put YOUR OWN health at risk like smoking does!!!
I wouldn't get so defensive. If you choose to smoke, then smoke. It's your health that you are destroying, but be curteous to people around you!!!
