i do make my own pies from scratch. but i also bake and decorate cakes. if i can get the recipe i can do just about anything.

I do,  I love to bake,  not all the time do I feel the best though so sometimes I cheat and buy canned pie filling.  I do however grow pumpkin, cook that and make my pumpkin puree and from that make my own pumpkin pies.  Awesome out of this world pies.    Happy Baking!!!!!

I found it best for me to buy my pies due to the fact that I cant get the crust right. It constantly falls apart.

I don't bake my own pies, but I do make all my kids birthday cakes. Whatever they want I make it. Sometimes they come out great, and sometimes you can tell I am a amatuer.

well i am glad to see there are still some of us out there that bake from scratch all my friends say they would rather have a frozen or one from a store i have been cooking for over 40 years now and i don't think i will stop i love the holidays because i bake cookies pies and food from scratch i even string popcorn and have my kids decorations that they made can't wait to bring it all out and decorate  i also used to work for a bakery so i made all kinds of cakes

My best pie is apple pie i make them from scratch. it very delicious and scrumptous even better with vanilla topping. I also make pumpkin pecan pies and among others things.

my baking starts Dec 1 and does not stop until Dec 24 when my family deliver baked goods to family and friends.  And some get taken to the VA nursing home for the soldiers

Yes, I bake my own - apple & pumpkin. I'm not much of a fan of pumpkin, but hubby loves it.

No I do not bake my own pies.  Usually for Thanksgiving & Christmas my mom still bakes the
traditional pumpkin pie.

I will buy an apple pie at the store.  Most of them are pretty good and I usually just don't have
the time to bake one from scratch.

I love to bake.  But I also love to eat what I bake.  Since my hubby and I started this healthy eating/living lifestyle I've had to remit myself from delving into my baking modes.  I think this holiday season will be a challenge.  I'm hoping to tweak some recipe's so we can still have pumpkin pie over Thanksgiving.  Truvia has been a big help in place of sugar but boy is it pricey.  Oh man, I bought 2 bags of apples to make an apple pie with it and before I knew it everyone ate the apples.  So there went my attempt at tweaking a recipe so far.
