Good Deeds.
« on: October 02, 2012, 11:37:10 am »
My son and I was stranded at the grocery store for over 2 hours. Our car did not start. Called the Insurance company and made a request for a tow and battery restart. In the midst of these 2 hours a Black man approached us and said do you need help, mind of all the people that have passed us by never said a word except one black lady did say hello, I responded with hello and have a good day thank you. Anyways this guy not only said hold and went into store to buy my son and I bottles of water because it was very hot but he did get us on our way. To say my thought, I waited for the tow truck driver and even called many times to see if he was on his way. Twice he said I'm down the street and I'm on my way. Called the company and their response was he is waiting for paper work to be signed. After that last call I said Dear Heavenly Father can you please help my son and I get home. That is when 10 min later the guy I am speaking of showed up and helped us with water and a charge of our battery. My son and I made it home safely and I just wanna thank all good deed people for actually taking time to help others no matter what it is. Mind you I had taking my car to shop to see what was problem the first time this happened because this would be second time. The mechainic said it was the starter so I preceded to another shop and they said they can not find the problem. This morning I took our car to a 3rd shop and he charged our battery and said this was the problem. :)

This is great and proves that there is still good people in the world...but i must say I noticed that you said "black man and black woman". If they were white...would you have said they were white? Just a thought.   :dontknow:

Yes I would have because it will show that all people of colors are willing to help. I only said how I said it because there was times when I have had this problem in past living in a all Black neighborhood and not one did any of them helped. I do not mean to put any one down. I just like where I'm living now where even people of my own kind do help. I did not see a white person that day and In my of doing my shopping at this store there is mostly Hispanics and Asians. I have ran across many White people who have showed me respect as in saying hello or maybe just seeing if they can help me with getting something off a shelf I can not reach as being a short person. I mostly when shop in our area as stores being Ralph or Stater Bros. This particular store was around the corner and I just wanted to grab some paper towels and air fresheners cause they tend to be a lil cheaper. I shop Ralph's and Staters Bros. for our meat and fresh veggies because they are much better pick there. thumbsup Smiley

I remember a picture in the Daily News some months back....a person was beat up and lying on the ground and people were walking by him....

We live in times now where surlely<dont call me Shirely> the love of the greater number has cooled off......foretold long ago.

I've helped people out of that exact situation before and I can assure you that, without a doubt, I was not some inaccurately-attributed response to a magical intercessory ritual "prayer".

After that last call I said Dear Heavenly Father can you please help my son and I get home. That is when 10 min later the guy I am speaking of showed up and helped us with water and a charge of our battery.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
