smoker or non smoker

I am a smoker, unfortunately. Wish I never started smoking. I want to quit and have been looking into different options such as e cigarettes and different prescriptions. Definitely need to quit. Everytime I see one of those ads on T.V about what smoking does it scares me.

That stuff all costs big bucks because the drug companies KNOW how bad you want to quit. You can do the same thing if you just drink a big glass of water every time you get an urge to smoke. It purges the toxins out of your system and reminds you psychologically how much you want to quit. After you use this method for a while, you spend so much time running to pee that you don't have time to light up!

I am a non-smoker and hate second hand smoke. Knowing myself if I did take up smoking at an early age I probably would still be smoking today. But I'm glad I never started that habit.

i no longer smoke..i used to about 20 or so years ago..started making me sick and i quit cold turkey..just had bought a carton..threw them in the trash..i was up to 2 packs a day..

non-smoker. i put a cigarette in my mouth once and the bitterness was too nasty for me to handle back then and so now, chose not too no matter what the peer pressure may be.

. I'm using an ecig now, but I still smoke. I have cut down a lot in the past few months. I was smoking about 2 packs a day, and I've cut back to about  half a pack a day.

I smoked for a few years - last year of high school and through college.  Then I quit cold - just didn't like the taste any more.  That was 30+ years ago. 
then I became a rabid anti smoking person - really - I'll admit that I was very obnoxious about it at times even    Lucky that I live in a state with very progressive anti smoking laws.

OMG, that's a lot. My dad quit -- he bought hard candy and gum. That's too much money to spend on cigarettes.

Good luck! I never have and never will but many people have stopped smoking successfully. Wish you the best.

I am ashamed to say I am a smoker. I already have COPD and try to quit I have quit before, just got to get in the right mindset.

I am a non-smoker. The price of cigarettes alone would make me want to quit.

I smoke also. I smoke around a pack a day. Although I have noticed sometimes I smoke more. But there are also days where I smoke much less. I do want to quit and I know it is real hard.
